  1. Spread the hazelnuts on a baking sheet and roast them in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10-15 minutes, or until they are golden brown and fragrant.
  2. Bring a pot of water to a boil and add a pinch of baking soda. Carefully add the roasted hazelnuts to the boiling water and blanch for about 30 seconds.
  3. Drain the hazelnuts in a colander and immediately rinse them with cold water to stop the cooking process.
  4. Once they're cool enough to handle, the skins should peel off easily.
