German Mulled Wine from Christmas Markets

2 cups | 1 qt | 2 qt | Grape Juice |

Preparation
- Heat the sugar in a large pot and until it melts; allow to carmelize to medium brown
- Slowly add the grape juice (it will steam and be loud for a moment) and stir to allow the caramelized sugar to dissolve
- Add the orange, lemon, and spices.
- Simmer about 15 minutes, then reduce the heat.
- Add the wine, make sure the temperature of the Glühwein doesn't exceed 70°C / 158°F.
- Remove the fruits and spices.
- Serve hot in a mug, maybe add some honey and stir with a stick of cinnamon.
