Limoncello
Ingredients
- 10 ea lemons
- 1 ea (750-ml) bottle vodka
- 3½ cups water
- 2½ cups sugar
Preparation
- Peel the lemons in long strips
- Place the lemon peels in a 2-quart mason jar
- Pour the vodka over the peels and attach lid
- Steep the lemon peels in the vodka for 4 days at room temperature
- Stir the water and sugar in a mason jar and nuke 2 or so minutes then shake till the sugar is disolved
- Pour the sugar syrup over the vodka mixture
- Cover and let stand at room temperature overnight, strain and discard the peels
